Much time was spent aligning X,Y,Z and MX, MY, MZ positioning of the front and rear fuselage. This was all done with laser level installed in various locations. Once all components were aligned work began on the lower passenger compartment skin. Image 2 shows the lower skin slid in place so that alignment holes could be drilled in the lower bulkhead flanges. Installing the skin required removal of the aft fuselage jig attachment points so that the skin could be angled in place. Then the forward fuselage needed to be raised so that the skin could be slid between the outer skin and bulkhead. Once all of this was accomplished, all of the alignment needed to be rechecked. Image 3 shows the skin removed for initial bending of the variable radius that forms the outer lower intersection.
