The wing top skin that hangs aft of the rear spar needs to be supported. Also, the gap between the nose of the aileron and flap needs to be minimized to limit airflow from bottom to top of the wing. These reinforcements were cut and bent as shown in the images below. Both left- and right-wing components were bent, but the images below depict the first installation on the right wing. In drilling the top skin, I noticed in one of Dick's pictures that he had a large number of clamps to a temporary support beam. I did the same since the skin had a tendency to wander.
