Brief Description: Swivel Couplers for Tailboom Supports
I again followed Mark Wolf's suggestion and located two aluminum scaffolding swivel couplers. The swivel option allows the attachment of the tubing to the skids at the appropriate angle. I was incorrectly informed that the couplers would hold down to a 1 1/2" diameter tube however I found that to be incorrect. It was necessary to mill the coupler to allow the required closure. I believe using 1 5/8" diameter aluminum tube would not require any modification at the coupler and still give adequate clearance between the tubes at the tailboom attachment point.
