The builders manual recommends or suggests using a compound mitre saw to make the longeron cuts. I don't own one and had no intention of spending a big wad of cash on a tool I would only use once. I decided instead I could use my trusty hacksaw and a file to whip the longerons into shape. Actual cutting and filing time was about 2 hours. I took many rest breaks to give my arms time to relax. It does give the upper arms a workout. The entire process was pretty easy. I did read that builders receiving their longerons after July 1, 2014 would not have to cut theirs. All cutting would be done at the factory. Hhhmmm!!, I received mine in September...go figure !!
I will be match drilling the side skins to the longerons on Monday.
