Brief Description:  Plenum, redo front

The front of the plenum was not going to work, so I cut off both parts that extend forward of the cylinders. Built the area back up on the baffles with foam at the correct height.

The governor sticks up above the plenum, so I added modeling clay to it so the highest point had about 1/8" of clay and the rest was a nice shape that will cover the complete thing. This way the governor will be completely under the plenum and should have enough clearance (the 1/8") to miss the cowl during engine shake.

Sanded the top of the cowl where cut off and laminated 3 plys of carbon fiber on top of the governor clay and the rest of the inlets. Covered with a blanket and put the 60's hair drier to work curing the epoxy. This hair dryer has done the same thing on my three aircraft and a Reno Racer. Amazing thing, you can still find them in the thrift stores.
