Brief Description: Plenum, pull and start trimming
Pulled plenum off the top cowl. Came out good, now to fit it. The wax paper stuck to the thing and is a bit of a pain to remove in some areas. The edges are dangerous because of fibers sticking out.
Trimmed it quite a bit to clear the governor and the flange on the front. Got it to sort of sit down after removing the front two side baffles. Trimmed a bunch of the sides so it is only about 1/2" to wide on each side in order to clear the top cowl.
Discovered that it will not work to try and make the sides of the inlets fit. Decided to make the the fronts just flat and fill the corners with rubber baffle seals. Heated the tops with the heat gun and reshaped it to flat. After several tries, got them close. Now need to do some more trimming up front and get the rest of the fit. The governor will be an issue, I think there is room to make a bump to clear it and the control arm. Eliminating the curves in the corners will make the side hinge mounts much easier.
