Brief Description:  Hoses, EGTs, plenum

Put oil hoses on oil cooler. Installed the oil seperator inlet and drain lines. Added a hose clamp to the firewall for the oil sep line with a Rivnut. This completes all the hoses. Sure was faster than the -6A where I had to fabricate each hose, hydro test and the firesleave. Will have to say they came out the right length, all of Van's hoses are about 1" too long.

While waiting for bondo to set up on the plenum, installed all the EGTs into the engine.

Started making the top cowl a mold for the plenum. Filled the oil door recess with a mix of bondo mixed with micro balloons and some acetone. Sets up but is not very hard so it can be easily removed. The recess needed to be flush with the inside of the cowl. Glued on block of urethane foam to provide the shape around the inlets. This will be tricky to carve since the plenum will have 1/2" clearance to the cowl. I expect to glue in more foam when mistakes are made. It is very easy to carve, so easy you can go well beyond what you want in a second.
