Brief Description:  Alternator, LIghtspeed, baffels

Issue with the alternator. The alternator hits the motor case before it can travel more than 1/4 towards the belt loose position. Cannot get the belt over the alternator with the flywheel on, can do it with it off and then putting it on. Tried a shim under the alternator mounting bracket. Appears the a 1/8" shim improves the situation without putting things out of line. That plus grinding the corner off a piece of the motor case will solve the problem.

Checked the Lightspeed system sensor mount. The case is not drilled for the front seal retainer ring, this engine has a different system to retain the front seal. The instructions take this into consideration, but they are not consistant with what I see. Sent an Email to Klaus to see if my solution is acceptable.

Started on the baffles. Built the left rear corner. Interesting in the instrucitons, it leaves a bunch of rivets undone at this point on the corner assembly and does not put them in anywhere in the instructions. Started on the right rear corner, this does include putting all the rivets in. Baffles are always confusing, even to Vans.
