Installed rudder pedals. Center bearing was very tight because it was split. Added washer between the two halvess not shown on plans. Same as the -6. Started on the tubing but was short a small sleve that goes inside the plastic. Ordered a bunch from Vans. Will do later.
Installed ruder cables. The end would not go thru about half the bushings. Strange one side would go in one and not the next. Had to crawl into the tailcone to get it past the first set of bushings. Remove bushing, push cable thru hole and bushing and reinstall bushing. It is not a large airplane when you are 6' 4" and 225 lbs and in the tailcone!
Installed the rear cable anchors. One nutplate would not start a bolt, Beolube and all. Messed up 3 bolts trying until I got a tap into it. Was no access, 1/4 turn at at time. I hate nutplates. Took at least 1 hour to do one bolt.
Installed Avery cable fairings. Look good, will use another set where they come out in the front.
