Brief Description:  Wiring/Test Runs

The test runs continue. Today I was able to install the new oil pressure sensor and test it out...eureka, it works. It seems that the pressure is holding right around 69 PSI...perfect!

I also spent some time chasing down the EGT and CHT leads. I can't seem to figure out why two of the CHTs aren't displayed. I can get one to display, but the other won't...damn. I need to run the wire for the second EGT.

I also spent a bunch of timing looking around the motor for oil leaks. I found a few and tried my best to prevent them from leaking further. I'll have to run it more in the future days to check those. I also tried to track down the few fuel leaks I have around the engine. They appear to be coning from the rubber gasket between the carbs and the intake manifolds. That could mean pulling the airbox to pull the carbs to get to that. Regardless I will have to hold off on synching the carbs until that is done, otherwise the whole synch thing could be a huge waste of time

I also jacked the airplane up try to figure out what in the hell is wrong with the gear. It didn't get any better by being off it's gear, and it appears that the solenoid inside the left gear cylinder is not functioning. Last time this happened it was a result of low battery voltage so I put it on charge for the night.

I feel like I didn't do much...I really wanted to have the new oil cooler on it etc tonight, but that just didn't even begin to happen. As I sit here and look at all the typing I've done, I'm feeling a bit better about my progress tonight. Tomorrow I have my tax meeting, and then I should be home early. I also need to work on the Glasair in that time to prep it for it's annual.

This is also my first time working on the plane since our cruise
