Spent a good deal of time tonight troubleshooting, running wires, etc.

I was able to hunt down yet another oil leak. It was coming from the coverplate that protects the hydraulic governor area, I think. There was no gasket under the coverplate, so I used some RTV and created one. The 'gasket' that I created under the valve cover seems to be holding tight. There was a little bit of coolant forward on the turtle deck, but I think the bottle just overflowed. I couldn't find any drip evidence...I'll have to keep an eye on it. The fuel leaks around the drip pan-intake manifold area appear to be still going strong:(

I rant the wires for the second EGT probe tonight and after some fiddling, I was able to get the second EGT and the second CHT working.

I also spent a lot of time on the dang gear. I simply could NOT get that left leg to retract. When I jumped the solenoid, boom, up the leg went. I'm going to have to contact Jim at Rec Mobility and see if I can exchange that board. I'm hoping it's a simple fix like that. Worst case I think I'll have to replace the actuator and that would be a bitch with the turtle deck in place and all the hydraulic lines full. Damn, it's always something!

I took it out and taxied it a bit tonight to continue exercising that portion of it. It seems to be doing well, and that is allowing me to work the motor over. I took Libby with and she seemed nervous, but that she'd warm up to it, much like everything else. Man, what a cool little dog. I'm sure the neighbors weren't all that pleased with me running around the runway at 9:30, but they will understand I'm sure. One thing I notice is that it seems like the prop is cavitating. Much in excess of 3500 RPM, it takes on a very different tone. I may start to crank some pitch into it...To really figure it out, I'd like to get the wings/tail on there, so I have the ability to go faster.

Finally I was able to get the fuel gauge working. It was a simple RTFD problem. I was missing a 12V input to the gauge. As so
