Brief Description:  Coolant/Prop

I finished up installing all the coolant lines today. I haven't tightened the hose clamps on the radiator yet...I'll save that until this weekend. I want to screw the radiator down to the mounting plate first as well. Perhaps I'll get that mounting plate powder coated...should have thought of that sooner.

I also spent a little over half the time working on the installing the prop tonight. Good news is that the prop is in place!! There was a lot of install, pull off, reinstall work going on. I forgot to anti-seize the bolts that mount the prop to the motor. I had to undo the entire prop to get back into those. I think there will be a day when I am very glad I did that though. Can you imagine having those things stuck in place? I'd scream!

What is not accounted for here is all the time I spent on the phone and thu, bing through the Lockwood catalog today. I spent a long time talking to Dean there and he helped a great deal. Basically I did not order the threaded inserts that go through the porp flange, and imagine my surprise when I opened up the prop and there they were! That saved me $56. Dean also helped me find an oil temp probe that was $17 instead of $172!! Damn that Rotax stuff. Everyone was concerned that this cheaper sensor reads 0-400 instead of 0-300. I think I'll be glad I have the EIS so I can account for that. I also ordered the damn overflow tank, the rubber isolation deals for the TCU and a few other misc parts. All in all I had to place two orders to get everything becuase when I called back with the forgotten items, the lady informed me that the first order had already shipped. Isn't that just the way of it?

I decided not to stress on money any more...it's really had me a bit tied
