Brief Description: Right Front Spar Assembly / Workshop Rearrangement
Notched relief holes on right HS-702 spar channel. Bent tab using HS-00003 doubler as a guide. Reassembled forward spare to check for alignment and fit. #30 drilled inboard 4 rivet holes in the center tabs of the forward spar. Dimpled inboard 4 rivet holes in HS-702 spar channels and countersunk matching holes in HS-814 and HS-810 reinforcement angles. Reassembled front spar to check for alignment and fit. Found that countersink in reinforcement angles was not deep enough as spar tabs were not flush. Disassembled, adjusted the countersink cage and deepened the countersinks a small amount at a time until parts fit flush together. Reassembled the forward spare and checked fit and alignment again.
Rearranged the shop tables to allow for safety with closing garage door and to provide additional workspace for accomodating the length of the spars. (Image 2)
