Brief Description: More Flap Work/Aileron Hinge Brackets
I started off today by riveting the 706B's to the inboard 704 ribs using the 470 rivets. I used the air squeezer to do this for both L & R flaps. I then clecoed both flaps completely together and they are now ready to start riveting them together.
I then started the prep work on the L & R aileron hinge brackets....identified the parts, deblued, labeled parts, clecoed together and match drilled, finished edges, deburred all holes, cleaned them up, and primed them with self etching primer (just the mating surface of the angle aluminum). The plates need not be primed per Van's instructions. I then re-clecoed them together. They are now ready for the 426 and 470 rivets.
Tomorrow Andrew and I will start bucking, squeezing, and popping the flap rivets. Will try to get both flaps all riveted together.
