Brief Description:  More Flap Prep & Assembly

Today I started off by priming all remaining flap parts including the skins, spacers, shims, ribs, and main flap spars. While drying, I used the air squeezer to squeeze the five 470 rivets on the FL-706A riveting it to the spar L & R flaps. I then clecoed the FL-706B to the 704 rib and squeezed the one each 426 rivet that protrudes the rib, nutplate, and 706B. The platenuts are now complete. I still need to squeeze the remaining 470 rivets to finish attaching the 706B to the rib. I then clecoed the middle ribs of each flap to the rear spar/bottom skin. I put RTV on each little flange then inserted the shim. Installed the 470 rivet and used air squeezer to squeeze the rivet. Now all middle flap ribs are attached to the rear spar/bottom skin.

Next session....to finish riveting the 706B to the 704 rib....then to start bucking rivets inside the flaps for final assembly.
