Today I started off measuring, marking, and cutting out with wiss cutters the 4 A-408 aileron spar reinforcement plates out of supplied .040 aluminum sheet. Finished them up on scotchbrite wheel. I then clamped them in place and drilled them using the spar holes as a guide. I then installed the K1000-3 platenuts on each spar. Then I drilled out with a #12 drill bit the A-406-1 and A-407 aileron brackets and their respective holes as shown on plans. Finished edges, deburred, and primed parts. This work was done on L & R aileron spars/parts.
Cleaned shop.
Next will be same stuff for ailerons.
