Today I started off by cleaning up the left wing main spar and the left wing LE assy really good in preparation for riveting it to the spar. I then clecoed the left wing LE assy to the wing spar including the rib flange-to spar-to rib flange. I then used 15 LP-4-3 pop rivets (5 on each rib flange x 3 ribs). The shorter -3 pop rivets go on the outermost 3 ribs. I did the same to the inner most ribs but using the LP-4-4 pop rivets. These are longer rivets to get thru the main spar where there are reinforcement forks. 15 LP-4-4 rivets used. I pulled the rivets using the tight space rivet puller which worked nicely. So all-in-all, today I just pulled the 30 rivets where the left wing LE assy rib flanges rivet to the main spar.
Tomorrow I will continue to rivet the left LE assy to the spar on the outside rivet lines and start on the right wing LE assy.
