Brief Description:  Removing to the primer...more progress.

Removing the EkoFill and EkoPoly goes very slowly. Here's an example of an hours worth of work and how much progress that provides.

The first and second pictures show what I am starting with today. As you can see, the front left area (first picture) still has lots of EkoFill to be removed, while the rear area has most of the EkoFill already removed. There is still some EkoPoly (top coat) in patches over the EkoFill areas.

I am using an electric sander with 100 grit sand paper to do the job. After doing this for an hour my hands feel numb from the vibration. I tried using some Laquer Thinner, and it does soften the EkoFill and EkoPoly (does not appear to bother the EkoPrime), but it does not allow me to just wet and wipe the old paint off...there's still a fair amount of work involved. So, sanding it is. In some of the smaller, harder to get to areas, the thinner helps, but not really for the majority of the areas.

The third picture shows my progress after an hour of sanding. As you can see, I was able to get the left side of the cockpit exterior area done, about six feet by 1 foot. Six square feet in an hour...Oh Boy! :(
