Brief Description:  Removing Paint: Starting on Fuselage Right Side

Continuing to remove the bad paint, now on the right side of the fuselage (the left side is done).

The first picture is looking aft, and shows a section of near the cockpit. The somewhat brighter white area on the left and forward area is the primer; EkoPoly (top coat) and EkoFill have been removed from that area. The aft area and the strip on the right side immediately below (to the lft of) the cockpit is the area still to be done.

The second picture is a close up of an area being worked on. Sometimes the sander goes a little too far, which gives me the bare fiberglass areas like what you see in the bottom of the picture (the somewhat tan areas). The larger areas of white is the primer, which I am leaving and so am trying to get down to. The grey is the EkoFill, and the white over the top of the grey is the EkoPoly (top coat).

The paint removal takes lots of time and lots of patience, as I don't want to remove too much paint and damage the hull, but I also want the surface to be ready for the paint that I will put on over this and to give it the best chance of working correctly.
