I was going to be painting the fuselage of my Falcon pretty early in the project, and needed a place to do so. I ended up purchasing a portable garage from Harbor Freight (click here to see it on the Harbor Freight site) and customized it, making it a positive pressure paint booth.
I sealed the inside walls by taping pieces plastic that connected all of the canvas pieces, and installed an outlet filter. I purchased a square box fan to use to pump air inside, and secured a filter on the inlet side of the fan.
The first picture shows the inside of the paint both. The booth sits outside on the side of my garage and is not secured to the ground (it's sitting on concrete); that's why I have the concrete block hanging from a side rail. There are four of those that help to hold the booth down.
You can see the outlet filter in the end wall. That's to trap paint dust so it doesn't get all over everything outside of the booth. Part of the fuselage is showing on the left side.
The second photo shows the the box fan with attached inlet filter and the fan opening in the end-wall of the booth. The fan is kept outside of the booth, and is placed up against the fan opening when it's running. The end-wall can bulge out a bit and at first was knocking the fan over. I fixed that by putting a single leg that extends out from the box that the fan sits on (actually, is bolted to) which keeps it from falling over. You can just see the black angle support for this leg in the lower left part of the picture.
The third photo is another picture of the inside of the paint booth (basically, like the first picture but simply angled down), and shows the "fancy" floor of the booth. I used plastic to extend the walls in a bit, and then simply lay a canvas painting tarp (drop cloth) on the concrete floor. I also so paint dust would not have any place to go except
