Brief Description: Modified Nose Gear - New Version
Okay, back to the drawing board on the modified nose gear. The version that I had shown earlier, while looking good in most ways, is just too long. This will change the angle of attach/incidence of the entire airplane during take-off and landing; bad idea.
So, I thought about it some more and came up with this idea. It's all flat plat and angle aluminum, except for the attachment fitting on the top. That fitting came with the kit and what was used in the original nose gear.
The reason for the long pieces of angle are for mounting locations for a wheel pant.
