Brief Description: Modified Throttle Assemblies

The throttle controls, as included with the kit, are rivited to the cockpit side walls. There is a center bolt which holds the throttle lever to the original mounting plate, but with the mounting plate rivited on to the cockpit wall, there is no way to get to the back of this bolt for maintenance. I made some small stand-off plates (my new, modified, mounting plates) which are rivited to the cockpit side walls, and then the original mounting plate, with the throttle lever bolted on, is attached to this new plate with removable screws. This should allow for easier future maintenance.
Picture #1 shows the modified aft throttle control assembly. The forward assembly is almost identical. The difference is that the aft lever has the cable from the engine connected to it and a rod wil tie the aft and front throttles together.
Picture #2 shows a closeup of the new mounting plate on the left with the original plate on the right with the throttle lever bolted to it. On the modified plate, I have driled four holes around the center to take the rivets, and have counter-sunk them in a bit so the rivet heads will not interfere with the plate with the lever.
Picture #3 shows the cable mounting fixture that I had to create as the original was missing. The throtlle cable from the engine passes through the hole drilled into the side, and then the screw in the top is used to clamp the cable in place.
