Tonight I match drilled all of the stiffeners on both the right half and left half of the elevators. I needed to set up a way to keep the skins open while I did this (see Image #2). Once the drilling was all done, I deburred the holes and dimpled the stiffeners wth my favorite tool. The last thing I did was to match drill the E-615PP reinforcing bracket. This supports the servo motor for the trim tab. I then dimpled the #6 screw holes, because it will be hard to do once the bracket is riveted to the left skin. Today I also ordered a small batch of pro-seal for the trailing edges on the rudder and the elevators. I figure if I prime on Saturday, I will be assembling some of these on Sunday or Monday. Van's recommends using the sealer to keep the edges from moving so you have a straight and level trailing edge on these control surfaces.
