Tonigh I finished riveting the rudder. I did have to use 4 blind rivets on the traling end of the skins. I know a lot of builders try not to do this, but Van's calls it acceptable and I'm not going to be a fanatic in the building of Juliette Whisky! I also started to assemble the right elevator. I've done some of the work on the elevators already (stiffeners and dimpled skins). I hope to get to a point where I can do the last priming session for the empennage this weekend. I called Van's yesterday and said I will need more time before the wings are delivered and they said no problem. I will pospone the deliver untill the 3rd week of September, as originally stated when I placed the order. This will give me plenty of time to finish the empennage and construct the wing jigs.
