Brief Description:  Left side of Stabilizer

I put a little over 3 hours of work into the plane tonite. I am going to try to keep it to 2 or three hours a night during the week. If I can be done and back in the house by 9:30 p.m., I think that will work. I got started at 6:15 tonight. I match drilled all of the skins on the right side of the stabilizer. You should mark the rows that are finished, or you might miss drilling some. I then dis-assembled the right half and layed everything down on the clean table. I will not be getting my DRDT-2 dimpler till tomorrow, so I decided the go ahead and put together the left half of the stabilizer. I am amazed at how much easier this side was to do, since I had already done the right half. I was able to better flute the nose ribs to make a perfect fit. It just seemed to go together easier. I finished an realized I forgot to insert the HS-909 shim in the inboard main rib. It took me about 20 minutes to disassemble the rear spar, insert the shim, and put it back together....not too bad. The left half is now ready to match drill. I will do that tomorrow and hopefully begin the dimple the skins. One additional note. I'm glad I set up the parts storage shelves the way I did, because it is nice and easy to access the parts as they are needed. Being organized really helps on a project like this.
