Brief Description:  Riveted right tank ribs

I began this morning by taping up the skin for the right tank. I did the tape after the rib assembly on the other tank, so I thought it would be easier to do it before on this tank......and it was. I next assembled the right tank by cleco-ing the ribs to the skins in the cradle. I broke for lunch and fell asleep for about 2 hours! I love afternoon naps! Around 3:00, I geared up for a long session of pro-seal and riveting. I managed to assemble all 5 interior ribs before I quit at 7:00 p.m.! Some thoughts on the tank sealant (pro-seal). I have gone through almost 100 pair of latex gloves, a box of popsicle sticks, almost 2 quarts of M.E.K., many, many shop towels and have cleaned tools over and over........I can't wait to be finished with this sealant shit!!! It is very messy and I do not enjoy the clean-up! I do, however, try to psych myself out and adjust my attutude before I begin mixing the pro-seal: I turn on the stereo, pour myself a big glass of Diet Coke and tell my brain that this is nessesary to the build .....and it is almost done! Just like in many things in life....it's all in your attitude. Even though I have developed a new found respect to anyone who has built their own tanks, I think I will have them fast-built if I ever build another plane......
