Brief Description:  Fuel tank stuff

Continuing with the final tank preparations......I drilled and fitted the fuel tank cap flanges to both tanks. The flanges come with a slight bend in them to match the curve of the top of the leading edge. I fabricated the T-914 clips from a piece of scrap aluminum. These clips will hold the end of the vent line at the top of the tank. They are riveted to the cover flange. I next drilled and fitted the drain valve flange to the bottoms of both skins. The nose reinforcement plates that I did not do the other day where the next items on tonites list. I marked the location of the cap flanges, then remove the clecos and countersunk the rivet holes. The last item of the evening was to install the platenuts to the cover plates. These platenuts are in the center of the cover plate and are used to attach the float type sender unit (gas gage). Everything is coming together and I have the next two days off, so I should get close to final assembly of the tanks
