Brief Description: Attached platenuts to stiffener rings
Tonite I removed the blue plastic cover from the stiffener rings and deburred all the holes and edges. I also deburred the holes in the inboard ribs. The manual does not tell you to do some of this stuff.....it assumes you know to deburr (and I do ...). The thick rings need to be countersunk and the ribs need to be dimpled. This will allow the tank access cover to sit flush on the rib, when it is screwed in place. I riveted with my pnuematic squeezer and it looks good! I will start on the tank filler caps and drain plugs tomorrow. I also realized I need to make 2 more T-410 reinforcement plates for the outboard end of the tanks. These are pre-cut and just need to be drilled and deburred....no big deal.
