Brief Description:  Tank Attach Angles & Misc.Shop Stuff

This morning I began by deburring all of the attached angle brackets and both tank baffles. I then went to Harbor Freight and picked up a few items. I got a new light-weight air hose (the one I had has a hole in it). I also picked up some nice castors for my moble tool cart. These 4" casters have rubber wheels and move easier than the old plastic casters. Since I'm again waiting for clecos to arrive in the mail. I jumped ahead (again..) and fabricated the nose tank attached angles. I cut the rough shape with the band saw, then used the Scotch-brite wheel to shape the parts....turned out real nice! I need to cleco the tank skins to the baffle before I check-fit it on the wing spars, so I will do that when I get the rest of the clecoes on Friday. In the mean time, I used pop rivets to attach the angles to the baffle and tank ribs. This is temporary and I will drill these rivets out once I fit the tanks to the rest of the wing frame. In order to set these pop rivets, I had to grind down the edge of the pop rivet gun (see photo).
