Brief Description: Finished deburring match holes & built LE cradle
I finished the deburring of the holes in the ribs tonight. I'm ready to prime the ribs. Since I can't prime at night, I decided to go ahead a little in the manual & construct the leading edge cradle. This cradle is use to hold the leading edge skins secure while cleco-ing the ribs. It will also be used to construct the LE fuel tanks. I used some 3/8 plywood from the shipping crate. A leading edge rib was my template and I cut out the shape using the band saw. I then attached the two pieces with 3 - 36" 1x's with some screws. I used duct tape to cover the edges so the skins will not get scratched. I put the left side LE skin in the cradle and began to attach ribs. I got the left one almost completed before I decided to call it a night....I'm going up north tomorrow with my brothers to do some salmon fishing. It's our annual boys weekend up north. I will be back Sunday and will probably work on the plane then.......
