Brief Description:  Static Lines & Fuel Vent Lines

Today I reached the 1000 hour mark on this project! I figure I'm about half way there....I installed the static air lines today. I ran the line to the front of the plane and left the tubing in a roll....I also pulled out all of the AN fittings and began to work on the fuel vent lines. I first needed to make the fuel egress fitting...This was made from a union fitting that I ground down on the drill press (with a file). I then cut the end at a 45 degree angle. These fittings are mounted thru the bottom of the plane. I next got the 1/4 alum. tubing a began to work the bends and get it in place. I had to flare both ends and install adell clamps along the tube to hold it in place. These actually turned out pretty good. I do need to pick up a few more 1/4" adell clamps. I also decided tonite that I will not be using the Van's supplied brake lines....I will go with the stainless steel braided lines...I will order these from Bonaco (supplier). I just don't like the cheap looking plastic tubing lines that come with the brake kit. I did some research on VAF and found the right stuff to order...I sent Bonaco an e-mail to get a quote....
