Brief Description: Aft Fulselage Priming & Final Assembly & Center F
This morning I started out by finishing the deburring and dimpling of the tail section bottom and side skin. I prepped the pieces, then set up for priming in the yard. I only have a little Azko Epoxy Primer left, but it was just enough to do the inside of the skins and the J-channels. I took a break for lunch, then proceeded to re-assemble the tail section. I think the contrast of the 2 colors of primers looks good with the assembly. The aft fuselage is now together and ready for riveting. I can probably do most of the rivets by myself, but I will need a bucking partner to reach some of the bottom rivets. Wendy has assured me that she will be available Sunday for the task. I next started the center section of the fuselage. This is the area that has the seats. I needed to modify several of the seat ribs to accept the controls to move. Once this was done, I had to flute all of the seat ribs to lay flat. I was getting tired and ready for dinner, but I wanted to do some of the assembly before I called it a night. I attached the seat ribs to the back of the F-704 carry though. I next clecoed on the baggage area ribs to the F-705 bulkhead. Then the two are clecoed together. I will start with the bottom skin tomorrow...
