Brief Description:  X-10 I measured 27 inches from the aircraft center

SECTION 48-10

Step 1 and 2 … Placed both U-1017A Gear Leg Fairing on the Leg Gear. And since I have already raised and leveled the X-10 I measured 27 inches from the aircraft center line around the Wheel Fairings and Rear Step area on both pilot and co-pilot side. Then using the red lazar level projected a bead of light on line from the 27 inch off center mark up to the Rear Step and Gear Leg Fairing. Now I measured the distance from floor to the lazar mark as 24.75 inches and the same at the front of the aircraft at the Gear Leg Fairing. I added a string from the Step and Gear Leg Fairing and back. Then I clamped and taped into place. And just to check my accuracy I used a bubble level specially designed for the string and found to be accurate. Repeated on the Right side of the aircraft.
Step 3 … Pulled the string tight and again measured the floor to string distance and levelness of the reference sting as compared to the F-1015C Mid Cabin Deck and a bubble level. This completes the finding of level reference marks that are necessary for correct U-1017A Gear Leg Fairing.
Time 4 hours.
