SECTION 45a-07

July 30, 2010

Step 1, Using the band saw I cut apart the C-1021BC Drill Template into two parts now known as C-1021B and C-1021C Doublers Plates.
Step 2, After deburring the parts I checked the fit of the parts by placing into the interior of the door as shown in Figure 2.
Step 3, Clecoed the above parts in place and machine counter sunk the four #40 holes.
Step 4, Prepared the surfaces with 120 grit sand paper for a flox mixture.
Step 5, After mixing up some 2 hour curing Aeropoxy with flox I fiberglass in place the two C-1021B and C-1021C Doublers Plates on the inside of the door and then using a #40 pop riveted held then in place. And now before the harding of mixture I spread a thin layer of Aeropoxy on the inside of the C-1021 Latch Angle assembly and clecoed in place with #30 clecos. After wiping excess oozing out Aeropoxy I allowed both doors to dry.
Step 6, Skipped because I am using the McMaster –Carr door seal not the one supplied with the Finishing Kit.
Step 7, Let the C-1018 Safety Latch hook over the edge of the C-1001 Cabin Crew Cover.
Step 8, Mark both sides by 3 / 4 “ from the center of the C-1018 Safety Latch hook.
Step 9, Not sure why this is a step but it says, “ Raise the door “

Time about 5 hours for both doors
