Step 1, I placed the C-1021 Latch Angle Assembly and mark on the outside of the door skin where the finger of the C-10018 Latch Hook intersects. Drill a #30 hole, call this hole #1. Step 2, I drilled another #30 hole (hole #2) 7 / 16” inch above the hole #1. I create a slot exactly 5 / 32” wide connecting these tow holes. Step 3, Assembled the C-1018 Safety Latch Assembly, C-1022 Spring into the C-1021 Latch Angle Assembly as shown in figure 3. This creates the Safety Latch Assembly. Step 4, Clecoed the Safety Latch Assembly to the C-1002 L/R Door. Check for complete freedom of movement of the C-1018 pivot assembly.
