SECTION 43 CABIN COVER Page 43-7 Steps 1 to 8

Step 1, I bent the top art of the F-1042 Bulkhead Side Channel until the F-1042F Gusset fit and can be clecoed in place. Trim as necessary.

Step 2, With the F-1042F Gussets clecoed in place final drill #30 the holes in common with the gussets and the F-1042 Bulkhead Side Channels.

Step 3, Match-Drill #30 the three holes in the web of the F-1042 Bulkhead Side Channel into the cabin cover.

Step 4, Final-Drill #12 all of the #30 hole in common to the cabin cover and the F-1042 Bulkhead Side Channels.

Step 5, Begin drilling the middle, bottom portion of the C-1001 Cabin Cover door opening tot eh F-1015C Mid Cabin Decks as shown in figure 2.

Step 6, I marked the location ½ inch from the outer edge as shown in figure 2.

Step 7, Drill with a #30 drill bit the marks made in step 6. Drill into the Cabin Cover, F0115C Mid Cabin Deck and through the F-1013 Fwd Longerons. After drilling with a #30 size drill bit return the holes and drill with a #19 size drill bit.

Step 8, Machine countersink all the #12 holes in the fwd and aft positions of the C-1001 Cabin Cover door openings for the head of a AN509-10 screws and all the #19 holes in the bottom of the door opening for AN509-8 screws. See figure 3 for details.

Time about 2 hours.
