Section 32 TAILCONE ATTACHMENT … Page 32 -4 Steps 1 to 8

Step 1, I found some #20 aluminum scrap to make two shims to fit between the F-1074 Tailcone Forward Top Skin and the aft ends of the F-1046 Mid Fuse Longerons for both Left and Right sides.

Step 2, I clecoed the F-1074 Tailcone Fwd Top Skin to the tailcone with #40 clecos.

Step 3, After clecing the F-1074 Tailcone Fwd Top Skin and making sure that the two shims were in place I Match-Drilled #40 the two holes in the F-1070-L/R Mid Side Skins and the three holes of the F-1074 Tailcone Forward Top Skin into the F-1046-L Mid Fuse Longeron.

Step 4, I Match Drilled #40 the six bottom holes in the F-1070-L Mid Side Skin (the triangle) into the F-1073 Tailcone Skin. And then machine counter sunk the same.

Step 5, Final drilled #40 the holes along diagonal the F-1070-L Mid Side Skin, the triangle.

Step 6, Final drilled #40 all the holes in common with the Tailcone Skin and the F-1006A, B, C and D Bulkheads.

Step 7, Then I match drilled the row of holes along the aft edge of the F-1077 Mid Bottom Skin into the F-1078 Tailcone Fwd Bottom Skin.

Step 8, After being satisfied with the previou8s procedures I removed the F-1074 Tailcone Fwd Top Skin and machine counter sunk the three holes as described in figure 3.

Time about 2 hours because I worked fast.
