Step 1, I removed the F-1003A Instrument Panel so I could insert the two F-1003D-E Inst Panel Attach Flanges against the F-1071 Fwd Fuselage Top Skin and aligning with the front part of the F-1003A instrument Panel. Then after clamping and realigning the fit I Final Drilled with #40 the top skin holes and clecoed as I went both F-1003D-E Inst Panel Attach Flanges.
Step 2, I replaced the F-1003A Inst Panel with screws and checked the fit.
Step 3, I Match Drilled with #19 drill bit the screw holes at the top of the F-1003A Inst Panel into both F-1003D-E Inst Panel Attach Flanges.
Step 4, This process was already accomplished in Step 1.
Step 5, Removed the F-1003A Inst Panel into both F-1003D-E Inst Panel Attach Flanges. Using the K-100-08 nutplates as a guild I drilled two #40 holes per nutplate. Then I deburred all the #40 holes and dimpled according. See figure 1.
Step 6, I machine countersunk the rivet holes in the F-1071B Hand Hold Doublers for the head of an AN426AD3 rivet.
Step 7, After being satisfied with the overall alignment and Match-Drilling of the F-1071 Fwd Top Skin I removed the clecos in preparation for dimpling. I removed the shinny coating with a “Scotch Bright” pad and then dimpled all the #40 holes except for the ones around the F-1071B Hand Hold Doublers.
