Section 28, FWD FUSELAGE RIBS, BHDS, BOTTOM SKINS … Page 28-16, steps 1 to 4 Step 1, Located the four F-1057 L/R Mid Seat Rail Supports and drilled as follows; Final Drill #40, 16 places; Final Drilled #30, 18 places; Final Drilled #19, 8 places and Final Drilled #12, 4 places. And machine counter sunk the #40 holes for AN426 rivets. Then trimmed (or notched) 3/16” X ½” each of the flanges as shown in figure 1. The to avoid micro cracks from occurring in the four F-1057 L/R Mid Seat Rail Supports I very carefully deburred and files the notched area. And finally primed the part with DTM primer. Step 2, Then I rived the four F-1057 L/R Mid Seat Rail Supports to each other L/R with AN470AD4-5 rivets. And added the K1000-08 and MS21051-L08 nutplates with AN426AD3-4 rivets as shown in figure 2. Step 3, I created the WD-1021P Shims from stock shim aluminum to the dimensions of 1” X 3-13/16” as shown figure 3. Step 4, After creating a reference line on the Forward Landing Brace Mount Plate I final drilled with a #12 drill bit the four places Forward Brace Mount as shown in figure 4, both L/R. Time bout 6 hours.
