Brief Description: Section 28, FWD FUSELAGE RIBS, BHDS, BOTTOM SKINS
Section 28, FWD FUSELAGE RIBS, BHDS, BOTTOM SKINS … Page 28-9, steps 1 to 2. Step 1, I temp connected the Mid Fuselage Assembly to the Forward Fuselage Assembly with eight 9/16” X 5” bolts, nuts and washers, eight 3/8” X 4.5” bolts, nuts and washers and Four area of 13 spacers each as shown in figure 1. Because I do not want to use the aviation grade bolts twice that Van’s supplied with the Wing kit I visited Lowes and purchased some different AN grade bolts for the temp connection. Step2, After being satisfied with the connection between the two assemblies I final drilled from underneath the #40 holes in common of the Center Bottom Skin F-1076, Fward Center Section Bulkhead Assembly, and the Fwd Fuse Bottom Skins. And then final drilled #40 the holes in common to the F-1004K-L/R Center Section Side Plates to the Aft Center Section Bulkhead Assembly and Fwd Center Section Bulkhead Assembly.
Time about 4 hours because I had to go to Lowes to obtain the connection bolts.
