Section 29, FUSELAGE SIDE SKINS …. Pages 29-14, Steps 1 to 9
Step 1, I removed both the side skins as stated in the first step.
Step 2, After locating the F-1039J Ruder Pedal Drill Jig I placed it on top of the Left F-1013-L Fwd Fuse Longeron and secured with two clecos in the 4 holes. Then I Match-Drilled #12 the six aft most holes in jig and repeated this with the right F-1013-R Fwd Fuse Longeron.
Step 3, I skipped this step as it seemed un-necessary to clean out all the chips in the fuse channels.
Step 4, I Match-Drilled #30 the holes in the lower flange of the F-1040-L and R upper Fuse Channels and WD-1002-L and R Upper Firewall Brackets.
Step 5, Match-Drill #30theholes int the F-1001B Firewall Upper Angle into the F-1040-L adbR Upper Fuse Channels and the WD-1002 –L/R Upper Firewall Bracket.
Step 6, Match-Drill #30 the holes along the upper and lower flanges of the F-1041-L/R Lwr Fuse Channels into the WD-1003-L-PC and R-PC Lower Firewall Brackets.
Step 7, Match-Drill #30 the holes along the outboard flange of the F-1050-L/R Fwd Cabin Floor Panels inot the F-1041-L and R Lower Fuse Channels.
Step 8, Now I disassembled the entire assembly of the Fwd Channels and then I deburred all the holes, removed the shinny alodine and smoothe all the edges as best as possible.
Step 9, Then I machine countersunk all the #40 holes in the F-1015C-L/R Mid Cabin Decks for the flat shop head of a AN426-AD3-5 flush rivet. Then I machine counter sunk all the hoels in common as follows:
F-1069 Fwd Side Skins in the F-1013 –L/R Forward Fuse Longerons,
F-1046 Mid Fuse Longerons,
F-1004K Center Sec. Side Panel Plates,
F-1040 UpperFuse Channels,
F-1041-L/R Lower Fuse Channels
F-1042-L/R Bulkheaad Side Channels
And finally I machine counter sunk the holes in the F-1005C-L/R Bulkhead Side Channels that are in common with the F-1070 Mid Side Skins.
Time about 5 hours.
