Brief Description:  High Speed Taxi Test

Dec 15th 2012

Fixed the items on the bucket list that the DAR wanted fixed and produced a couple of high speed taxis runs down the runway at Perry Apt. In the first run I gunned the engine gained speed and watched the speed on the Skyview Display do nothing. The speed did not measure on the MFD tape. So I quickly selected the Moving Map and the GPS did display the ground speed and I kept the aircraft under 40 mph as not to become airborne. Everything else seemed to be OK and I slowly taxied back to the hanger. Fixed the airspeed problem as the AOA and Airspeed tubes were switched at the AHARS. Then I repeated the high speed taxi run down runway 18 at Perry and the air speed tape jumped up and reported the correct aircrafts airspeed. I was going to repeat the high speed taxi test one more time but I decided there was no need and at last the X-10 is ready for its first flight!!!
