Dec 1st 2012 All fun now, today was the day. The Designated Airworthy Representive or DAR paid a visit to my hanger. Mr Vic Syracuse of Atlanta, Georgia arriving in his very nice RV-10 that he constructed himself, conducted a formal airworthy inspection on my X-10 aircraft. After a couple hours I am very proud to announce that the aircraft passed with flying colors. Just a couple of bucket items that need to be corrected before first flight (sometime in January 2013) but he issued the “airworthy certificate”. Now it’s flying the Diamond 40 that has a Garmin 1000 flat panel display for a couple hours and then to Florida for five hours of RV-10 transaction training in January. Then the 40 hour solo fly-off and done.
