Brief Description:  fuel tank - sealing ribs

Started sealing and riveting the 7 ribs - 5 inboard ribs are done first. Pic 1 shows the two part sealant - getting ready to weigh out. Next mix, then spread on ribs and mating skin surface. The rib is then clecoed in, and rivets placed. I used the new tungsten bucking bar for this - worked well. After riveting in, then the squeeze out goop was filleted to ensure a seal, then rib heads were covered with a glob. Finished result seen in pic 2 and on the outside in pic 3 after MEK cleanup. Note the tiny rim of sealant around the outside rivet head. Overall, was able to do 2 ribs today. It took 3.5 oz. of sealant, with 1/4 of it waste.
