Brief Description:  Final checklist before DAR inspection

We are now getting things ready for the DAR inspection on Saturday, 2 days from now! I have all the paper work ready and organized. I have placed the registration in the plane, had the data plate engraved and riveted it under the horizontal stabilizer, and applied the registration numbers on the tail. We also applied a heat shield on the cowl where the exhaust pipes are close. During the engine run, we had seen that the exhaust pipes were not secure enough so we tightened all the bolts of the hangers. We also found that there was an error in the EIS tach. I found that the setup was incorrect and changed it. I will not be able to check it until our next engine which should in conjunction with my first flight. We checked the trim for proper labeling and confirmed the neutral position. I have a vertical compass but could not find a good place for it so I installed a compass purchased in the aviation department of Wal-Mart’s. I installed the shoulder harnesses and adjusted the lap belts and seat position. I found a good flight checklist on the web, copied it, printed it card stock and had it laminated and will place it in the air plane. We will go over the controls tomorrow and check all the bolts etc.
