Brief Description: Emptied fuel tanks-Put on inspection covers
We plan to do a weight and balance Monday so today, I removed the quick drain plugs and drained all the fuel from the tanks. I found that we had 1/2 gallon of unusable fuel.......Because Vern Little has inspected our 3-4 times already, he gave us permission to start putting on some of the inspection covers. Image #1 shows the good fit of the center cover and heater box. Image #2 shows the finished covered fuel selector. I don't like the fuel selector handle seen in this image even though it looks great. I don't think it is as secure as the stock handle so I will change it back. You can see that I have labeled the fuel selector and the trim so there will be no confusion on my first flight....I hope. Image #3 shows that the lower baggage bulkhead cover has been installed. Vern did want us to leave the upper off. I finally covered the area that houses the flap motor and all its wiring. That looks better too. ...... I have carried out all the components for the interior so I hope to start on that installation soon.
