Brief Description:  Worked on spinner & starter wiring

Today, we measured the circumference of the spinner over the forward bulkhead and then divided this into 6 equal spaces. Then we drilled the bulkhead after moving the spacing around so the screws would miss the prop cut out. You can see this in Image #1. We finished fitting the first gap filler and clecoed it to the rear bulk head. We then drilled it for #4 rivets. We had difficulty getting the 1st hole in a place where we could drive a rivet and not strike the prop. We finally found a combination of an off set rivet set and a rivet gun set at a low pressure and were able to drive the rivet. We protected the prop with a scrap of air seal material so as not to scar the prop. This rivet was driven OK and then the others we could squeeze. See Image #2.... ...We cut out the other gap filler and Image #3 shows a first fitting. It will need some careful work on the grinder to get a perfect fit......Next we began routing the alternator wire and was able to get it hooked up to the starter solenoid and the starter. We will have to put a couple of Adel clamps on but it should be OK. We also need to run a ground from the solenoid to the starter.
