Brief Description: 1st go at baffles- Baffling!!!!
We started on the baffles today. We first laid all the parts out on a table and labled them. Nest we took the main parts and did a trial fit to the engine. All the parts fit fairly well around the engine but the front side and bottom pieces didn't fit the cowl inlets at all. The contour of the bottom piece did not appear to be right either. This can be seen in Image #2. The front side baffle has been cut 1.5" shorter using the contour duplicator but as you can see it is still too long and although the bottom piece is not well it is even worse. I have left a message on the Vans Air Force Forum to see if this is to be expected or we have pieces for another cowling.
