Brief Description: Treaked & drilled both rear skirts
One year ago we had just finished cutting a hole in the left wing for the landing light and thought that that was the most stressful thing we had to do. Little did I know about the canopy! Today a year ago, we hooked up the landing light and it WORKED! Boy, so much has happened in a year!
Today, we put the wind screen up to see if all still fit with the canopy and it did! We then "tweaked" the rear skirts some more and then taped them down and drilled them to the canopy, frame using a hole finder. The right skirt rests right down on the rear skin and the left will need a little tweaking to get it to lay down tightly out laterally. I think that it can be done though. We still have not cut the excess on the front of the skirts or drilled them to the side skirts. That will come next after the "tweaking".
