Brief Description:  Rear skirts again-Pierre Smith's visit in his RV6

Claude and I went back to work on the canopy. Yesterday, we had primed and painted all the side skirt components. Today we put them on and when we screwed them down, we found that we re-developed a gap at the rear of the side skirts. So back off they came and I bowed and torqued them in some more. Then we back to working on the rear skirts. As seen in Image #1 & 2, we are nearly ready for drilling them to the rear canopy.

Pierre and Jenny Smith, from Louisville, called and said they would like to come down and see our plane and give us some badly needed advice. Image #3 shows them in front of our hangar. I just love their paint scheme, don't you? They had a perfect fit on their rear skirt. Oh, how I wish we did. Maybe soon though. After some tips, we all went to eat. It was a perfect way to break up a very trying week. Pierre had given me some transition training in his RV6 about a month ago. I plan to go back up to see him for more soon.
